The water is unusually democratic. It asks nothing about age, mobility limitation, or fitness history. It simply holds you — and that holding is precisely what makes aquatic exercise so valuable for older adults.
The Senior Wellness Programme is built around the specific needs of participants above sixty: gentle on arthritic joints, structured enough to build real strength, and social enough to be something worth looking forward to.
Sessions run in the early morning when the pool is quietest. Each session is supervised by a coach with training in senior aquatics and first aid. Exercises progress over eight-week cycles, meaning there is always something new to work toward.
The programme has become something of a community in itself. Participants tell us they come as much for the conversation before and after the session as for the exercise itself. Both are available in abundance.
