Father's Day called for something unconventional — so we lined up dads and kids side by side and let them race.

Rematch planned
The rules were simple: relay teams of one dad and one child, one length each, first team home wins. The preparation was extensive on both sides — kids had been training for weeks; dads had been, let's say, mentally preparing.
What unfolded was pure chaos — in the best possible way. There were false starts, mistimed dives, and at least two dads who discovered mid-length that their stamina was not quite what it used to be. The kids showed zero mercy.
By the end, the scoreline was comfortably in favour of the younger generation. The dads had excuses. The kids had bragging rights. Everyone had sore sides from laughing.
The real winners, of course, were the families who got to share something active and silly on a Sunday morning. We're already planning the rematch — and this time, the dads say they're training.
